On May 13th 2020, Jarvis Network team and Crypto OLALA group organize an AMA to make the community members know more about Jarvis Network and what is its application as well as its role in bringing decentralized finance to everyone. Here is recap of it:

Segment 1: Introduce and Question from Olala Team
Moderator Mark will ask 3 questions, then Mr. Pascal Tallarida — CEO of the Jarvis Network and Mr. Vsevolod Potorocha will answer. At this Segment 1, the chat function will be mute for members, Except for Admins & Guest.

Moderator Mark

Before coming to the questions from Olala team, briefly introduce about yourself and Jarvis Network ?

Mr. Pascal Tallarida — CEO of the Jarvis Network

I am Pascal, I a 32 years french senior Forex trader and entrepreneur. I have founded Jarvis network to bring the power of blockchain applications to traditional traders and investors :)

On Youtube, I am followed by around 31k french speaking traders, and we will leverage from this big fan base to bootstrap our applications.

What we do at Jarvis network is two protocols, Margin and Synthetic (renamed Synthereum) to allow anyone to gain exposure to the price of anything. Stocks, fiat, indices, commodities. All of this on the top of Ethereum.

We are then building 2 Dapp, Jarvis market (a trading platform) and Jarvis wallet (a contract wallet) to leverage from these protocols. Jarvis market is more for active investors, traders, while Jarvis wallet is more for passive investors, who wants to build long term portfolio, of crypto or stocks as example.

Mr. Vsevolod Potorocha- Community Manager of Jarvis Network

I am a community manager at Jarvis Network. I am the one bringing all the news and updates to our community as well as providing help if its needed:)

Moderator Mark

Ok, Thanks a lot for brief @Pascal_Tallarida @Vsevolod_Potorocha
Let’s move to the 3 questions from Olala Team
After answer, Please say DONE at the end of the answer

Question 1: As i know, Jarvis network is a set of protocols on Ethereum to unify and uberize all the financial markets. So, which protocols does it have and how will it be suitable for financial markets, especially crypto market?

Mr. Pascal Tallarida — CEO of the Jarvis Network

We are building two protocols: the Margin protocol and the Synthetic protocol (Synthereum).

➡️ Margin protocol: it is a protocol for off-chain trading with on-chain settlement. It means that you can trade in a scalable yet secure way (you do not need to wait for Ethereum to settle your trade).

Traders trade against Liquidity pools in DAI; when you win, the pool lose, and vice versa. You trade on the price feed selected by the Liquidity provider (it could be Binance price feed for crypto, or Interactive Broker for Forex or Stocks).

Liquidity providers can hedge their risk with their own broker or exchange. Meaning that you can connect your broker or exchange API to the pool, and be market neutral: you collect the commissions, and you are fully hedged.

➡️ Synthetic protocol: it is a protocol for on-chain trading. So all the trade happen on Ethereum.

Traders mint synthetic assets tracking the price of any assets (it could be Bitcoin or Apple stocks, Euro or Oil). Unlike other synthetic assets (like Dai) they do not need to overcollateralize their assets. They only have to deposit 100% of the collateral in Dai.

Liquidity providers bring the remaining collateral and are their counterpart: if a trader ming jAAPL and the price of the stocks rises, the LP will pay the difference.

To be market neutral, LP can hedge their risk using the Margin protocol.

The coolest thing is that if you want to sell your jAAPL for jEUR or jBTC or jGOLD, you do not need an exchange. You destroy the jAAPL and minth the jGOLD > no slippage! no liquidity problem.

If you know about Synthetix (SNX) or Abra wallet, pegnet etc. it works the same way.

50% of the fees when opening/closing a trade or minting/burning an assets are collected by the DAO and can be sent to JRT holders.

The other 50% are collected by liquidity providers.

To secure the protocols, we need validators and relayers.

➡️ Validators work in the Margin protocol. They have to verify every trade, price etc. to create a trustless environment. They check if LP does not manipulate the price, etc.

➡️ Relayers work in the Synthetic protocol. They have to match the traders deposits with the liquidity providers funds. We do not use an oracle like Chainlink to remain ultra scalable and more secure (less oracle = more security) so we need this network of relayers to to match orders.

Both relayers and validators receive fees, and they have to stake JRT to become a node.

Liquidity providers also have to stake JRT before to provide liquidity in Dai in the platform.

so JRT is a token to access the DAO, to collect fees, but also to stake.

On the top of these protocols, we are building two client-facing applications.

➡️ Jarvis market, a trading platform divided into two: a Margin mode, to do off-chain trading on any market with leverage (Margin protocol) and Exchange mode, to exchanges any ERC20 for any ERC20 or any ERC20 for any synthetic assets (swap MKR for BAT, or LINK for jAAPL); we use a dex agregator which allows us to have almost a better pricing and liquidity than Binance, while being decentralized.

➡️ Jarvis wallet, a smartcontract wallet with no seed phrase, private key, gas, cryptic address, built on the top of the most secure platform: Gnosis Safe. In Jarvis wallet, user have a 0-fee fiat onramp to buy Eth, Dai, USDc or any synthetic assets. We natively integrate AAVE to create saving account and earn interest on your stablecoins; a Dex aggregator to exchange crypto at the best rate; our Synthetic protocol to buy/sell/convert any synthetic assets (so you can create crypto — stocks portoflio in few seconds) and Unilogin and WalletConnect in order to connect to any other Dapp (like Metamask, but with QR code or with a Username).

the DAO launches reward program where participant can earn JRT everyday or every week, to incentivize and rewards people who generate value: liquidity provider on Uniswap as example

the JRT is listed on Uniswap and Bancor, and will be listed in many other decentralized liquidity pool and exchange; we wlil wait to have all our product in place before to be listed on bigger centralized exchange.

Mr. Pascal Tallarida — CEO of the Jarvis Network

Validators, relayers and liquidity providers will have to stake JRT.

Validators and relayers bring security and trustlessness to the network as described above :)

Liquidity providers bring liquidity and without them nothing can work.

Users can also stake: if they want to participate to some reward program they will need to stake JRT and they will JRT and sometimes DAI as well depending on the program.

There will also be delegate staking to lend your JRT to validators, relayers or liquidity providers if they do not have enough.

There is no inflation in the JRT, and when staking JRT you mainly earn DAI, not JRT (in same cae you do earn JRT but it will not be forever, and just for a limited time, until the 100M JRT dedicated to that will all be distributed). So staker will need to buy JRT to stake, but since they receive DAI, they will not receive new minted JRT that they could sell right after.

Quesiton 3: Can you introduce some details about your application: Jarvis market and Jarvis wallet? Why is it confirmed that “They won’t know it is Blockchain”?

Mr. Pascal Tallarida — CEO of the Jarvis Network

So, we do not want to target crypto user, I mean not only. I have a 31k community of non-crypto trader. I have a network of partners, with thousands of non-crypto traders or investors.

To bring them on Ethereum, we need to hide the blockchain. They have to see a wallet that look like Revolut or Venmo. They do not need to know that it is Ethereum, or blockchain or whatever. Yet we do not want to be centralized, so we work with cutting edge technology to remove the need of private key, cryptic address, gas, etc.

Ok, Many thanks for the answers from then Mr. Pascal Tallarida @Pascal_Tallarida
Hopefully, through a few initial questions of Olala Team, everyone will understand some of the overview and mission Jarvis Network’s main and Dapps on Jarvis Network.👍👍👍

Now, We move next to segment 2

Everyone
🚨🚨🚨 Due to time constraints, we will be conducting only 1 Round of Free Question at AMA tonight 🚨🚨🚨
Round will open chat 3 minutes.

Segment 2: Free Q & A between the community and Jarvis Network (JRT)
Community members will conduct questions for Mr. Pascal Tallarida and Mr. Vsevolod Potorocha. Group will proceed to open chat in 3 minutes . We have 1 round, Mr. Pascal Tallarida and Mr. Vsevolod Potorocha will answer questions from the community. (After the AMA, we have airdrop for the 7 good questions picked by guests and Team)
About:35 minutes

Question 1: At present, I believe there are many Swap exchanges on the market that can solve similar problems, such as Chengelly, Changenow, etc., but can you explain the advantages of JARVIS SWAP in terms of technology and basics?

Mr. Pascal Tallarida — CEO of the Jarvis Network

Jarvis swap system connects to most of the Dexes and liquidity pools, + our native protocol for synthetic assets.

You can swap ETH for jEUR, BAT of jGOLD etc.

It is not something changelly or Shapeshift offers.

So better liquidity, native integration within the wallet etc.

Mr. Vsevolod Potorocha- Community Manager of Jarvis Network

Jarvis doesn’t do swaps, if you refer to the synthetic protocol the swaps there are unique to the protocol as you mint and destoy jTokens within the protocol.

Question 2: What are the big differences between the Margin Protocol and the Synthetic Protocol? Do the have the same target?

What is the experience that the Jarvis team has? How do you create a solid project that lasts over time?

Mr. Pascal Tallarida — CEO of the Jarvis Network

Margin is more for people used to trade with brokers. So we compete with Brokers.

Sytnehtic is more for crypto people, or devs who want to build on the top of the protocol.

I personnally am a senior Fx trader with deep knowledge in market making, risk management, brokerage, etc.

Question 3: Jarvis Exchange has planned to give every market to trade to all the traders whether forex, Indexes, (metal, commodity, stock, crypto. . .UPCOMING),

In spite of all these trading together, What have you planned to Give Smooth User interface & 24*7 Customer Service?

Why Crypto trading is so lately planned ?

Mr. Pascal Tallarida — CEO of the Jarvis Network

Because crypto API are less secure and reliable than brokers API. It is therefore more complicated to build a very good system. We want to provide the best exp to trade crypto with leverage so we still need to work on it.

Question 4: A lot of people will want to know what the strength of Jarvis Network is but I want to know the weaknesses and problems Jarvis Network faces ? How do you plan to solve it?

Mr. Pascal Tallarida — CEO of the Jarvis Network

weakness: there are vectors attack that we need to solve. Since we do not use on-chain trading for the Margin protocol, the trades happen offchain and therefore it is a risk that has to be mitigated (hence validators).

also, we are built on Ethereum, so we can suffer from the scalability and high fees.

Question 5: DeFi and Dapps are 2 pillars primed to rule 2020 in crypto space, what’s your approach to DeFi and Dapps. What roles do you play in innovativeness of DeFi

Mr. Pascal Tallarida — CEO of the Jarvis Network

Risk awarness and security first. We need to tell the user what are the risks when using DeFi protocols.

Question 6: What are the goals and plans for non-crypto users, how to get attention?

I see that Jarvis Network is very focused on the DAI network, is it possible to see the Jarvis project getting closer to other blokchains?

Mr. Pascal Tallarida — CEO of the Jarvis Network

we have deep connection with influencers, I myself am one influencer in France. so we will do as usual: video, webinars, contests, partnership, etc.

Question 7: I’m quite curious about the name Jarvis Network? Why did you choose this name, is there any story behind this name?

Mr. Vsevolod Potorocha- Community Manager of Jarvis Network

The original name was just Jarvis, but later as we started to create concepts for other protocols, we had to name them as well. So Jarvis network connects these protocols together. So you have a network of protocols, therefor Jarvis Network:)

Mr. Pascal Tallarida — CEO of the Jarvis Network

In our prototype, we added a funny voice recognition feature. So you can open a trade saying: open EURUSD short. Hence Jarvis :)

Question 8: Project’s Activeness & Progress is the First preference of any Investor! So, Tell us some Recent Major Achievements Done by Jarvis Project? Also, which Major Event / Announcement we can Expect from jarvis Project?

Mr. Pascal Tallarida — CEO of the Jarvis Network

we have our Margin protocol v0 live since few months now, in a closed beta, and did already $3.5M of volume with just few traders.

we have our synthetic assets v0 on Kovan since february and are about to launch our v1 very soon, on Kovan and then on the mainnet.

we have our contract wallet built on the top of Gnosis live since few months also, and we already have our free fiat-onramp.

Question 9: What role does the community play in your project? How do you evaluate the Vietnam market?
If my brother is a technology savvy and loves blockchain, can he or she join your project?
Mr. Pascal Tallarida — CEO of the Jarvis Network

we are community-driven, so community is the biggest asset we have. We have a strong french community, who are both investors and users.

95% of our investors are actually my former clients who trusted me with my work as a trader and coach, and followed in this adventure. We listen to them a lot.

Question 10: What is SuperUSD and how can it give reliability in the market?

Good exchanges are characterized by it is easy to register and access trading in a short time, is Jarvis Network working in that direction?

Mr. Pascal Tallarida — CEO of the Jarvis Network

SuperUSD could replace DAI. For now everything is around DAI in Jarvis, which creates a dependencies and risks. So in the future we want to have our own jUSD, which will be backed by many stablecoins and be used a collateral instead of DAI.

Question 11: I was really Amazed to see that I can Customize my wallet theme by purchasing,

How much pricing will be there & Are we going to buy the wallet theme from the 3rd party?
Can theme be sold as well?

Mr. Pascal Tallarida — CEO of the Jarvis Network

Artists wlil sell their artwork, and set the price. So I dunno :)

Question 12: At this point, do you think you need exchanges as a binance to keep growing? Or is it better to forget those things and focus on other activities?

Mr. Vsevolod Potorocha- Community Manager of Jarvis Network

At this point, we believe that it is better to use the money on the development of the products itself than buying listing on big exchanges. Of course, later down the line, we plan to list there, but now we believe that product comes first and with the great product comes recognition and growth.

Question 13: In jarvis wallet
No_gas, No_private_key & No_cryptic_address needed. .

On what basis the Wallet is built?

Mr. Pascal Tallarida — CEO of the Jarvis Network

Gnosis Safe + Unillogin + ENS + meta-transaction

Question 14: Where does JARVIS get profit from running the project?

What are the features that distinguish JARVIS from other similar applications?

Mr. Pascal Tallarida — CEO of the Jarvis Network

The protocol will generate fees, and we, as token holders, will collect some. But the protocols do not belong to Jarvis, but to token holder and thje DAO.

As a company, editing the trading platform and the wallet, and as a company providing liquidity as a Liquidity provider in Jrvis, we will make profit.

Question 15: The biggest barrier for newcomers in the crypto space today is buying and withdraw with FIAT, how secure and robust is your FIAT GATEWAY?

Mr. Pascal Tallarida — CEO of the Jarvis Network

we are directly connected to banks through banks API, si pretty secure :)

Question 16: Reserve really has too many competitors, both directly and indirectly . So in your opinion, what is the highlight of Jarvis Network to be able to compete with other projects?

Mr. Pascal Tallarida — CEO of the Jarvis Network

capital efficiency, no oracle, and a huge community behind :)

A lot of project do an awesome work. But they have no users. No traction.

We already have the user, we just need to finish the products.

Question 17: Do you think automated liquidity pools are advantageous? in which? Are they the future in any way?

What is the JRT business model?

Mr. Pascal Tallarida — CEO of the Jarvis Network

yes :) cause like that anyone can become a LP. No need to be genius or to be financially educated, you just deposit Dai and boom you make profit.

Question 18: Dear admin; i am very interested with your JRT system but can you pls advise if you will be in international payment system like VISA or MASTERCARD etc? Or do you want to build your own system?

Mr. Pascal Tallarida — CEO of the Jarvis Network

yes for now we only support bank wire in the wallet biut soon visa and mastercard

Question 19: Your metamorphosis is a laudable one, how have you been able to survive this longest bear market and continue building and developing cos many projects have died out in this time period mmm

Mr. Pascal Tallarida — CEO of the Jarvis Network

we have spent carefully our money :)

Question 20: What critical problems do you see occurring in the blockchain industry nowadays? How does Jarvis network aim to solve these problems?

Mr. Pascal Tallarida — CEO of the Jarvis Network

scalability and high fees

Question 21: A fact is your private key is your fund. Why is Jarvis case different? Why no private key?

Mr. Pascal Tallarida — CEO of the Jarvis Network

The average Joe does not want to deal with PK. Of course Jarvis has private key but users do not need to access it or to know it. We provide the same experience as a centralized wallet, but decentralized.

Question 22: How do you plan to gain adoption fast enough that the market will not be saturated with other similar project by the time you launch or what advantage could you offer?

Mr. Pascal Tallarida — CEO of the Jarvis Network

the market is HUGE. It will be not be saturated. Trust me :)

Question 23: Why should we invest in Jarvis coins?

Mr. Vsevolod Potorocha- Community Manager of Jarvis Network

Revenue share and access to DAO in the near future

Question 24: What role does the community play in your project? How do you evaluate the Vietnam market?
If my brother is a technology savvy and loves blockchain, can he join your project?

Mr. Pascal Tallarida — CEO of the Jarvis Network

we actually have partners in Vietnam :)

a leader of a trading community as well as developpers. We know that we have a card to play in vietnam and we will see if we can work on developping our platform there and in south Asia as well.

Question 25: Seems Jarvis is only useful to we blockchain knowledgeable ones. How can Jarvis be useful to non-blockchain people? How will you introduce Jarvis to them?

Mr. Pascal Tallarida — CEO of the Jarvis Network

it is the opposite :) We are building things for non blockchain people.

Mr. Vsevolod Potorocha- Community Manager of Jarvis Network

We actually aim for non-blockchain people. The idea is to create a product with easy UI and make onramp of new people as simple as possible (being able to do everything in one click).

We already have a community of legacy traders waiting for the platform to be launched.

Question 26: Explain more about Jarvis staking, the minimum and maximum requirement and APR for

Mr. Pascal Tallarida — CEO of the Jarvis Network

APR will depends on the trading activity.

The DAO will decide the amount of JRT to stake, there will be vote about it.

But the APR should be relatively interesting :)

Question 27: Does your project have any insurance for investors if there are technical problems or data loss attacks in case of unexpected?

Mr. Pascal Tallarida — CEO of the Jarvis Network

yes, we wlil fund an insurance funds with 5% of the fees, + we will have a Nexus insurance cover, and work with company like Opyn and Unslashed to protect users funds

Question 28: Most users only care about immediate benefits rather than the real value of the project in the long-term. How can you convince users invest to your platform in the long-term?

Mr. Pascal Tallarida — CEO of the Jarvis Network

They have to understand that community and users are the key and the most difficult thing to have.

How many project are AWESONE but have 0 revenue or users?

Our product is very cool: I have convinced anti-crypto people to trade on our closed beta and now they are using it everyday. Because it creates freedom.

We have a cool product, we have a user base, who is asking for this product.

Question 29: What is your progressive plan to ensure that Jarvis project Network remains relevant & valuable in the next 5 years, in terms of adoption and use-cases ?

Mr. Pascal Tallarida — CEO of the Jarvis Network

we remain super agile and always awre of the new tech and trend.

Question 30: Sincerely, most newer DeFi platforms are just a copy paste of the existing ones. So, what things does Jarvis offer that no any other DeFi platform offers?

Mr. Pascal Tallarida — CEO of the Jarvis Network

we started before DeFi existed :)

Even if you copy/paste something, and you have nothing else to offer than aonther platform, the most important is the network effect, community, and tractoin.

This is what we try to build.

In addition to that, our difference lies in UIX > better user interface, trading features, user experience, fiat gateway. etc.

Question 31: What is JarvisNetwok special compared to other projects? Can you give some reasons to convince users to choose JarvisNetwork?

Mr. Pascal Tallarida — CEO of the Jarvis Network

it is probably the coolest thing you will try in your life :)

To funds your wallet with no fee and immediately after create a diversified portofolio of stocks, fiat, crypto, then to connect to your trading platform to quickly trade Forex or crypto, and withdraw immediately after. This is very cool, this is freedom. It is addictive.

Question 32: What’s the difference between Relayers and Validators in Jarvis? How can I become a validator?

Mr. Pascal Tallarida — CEO of the Jarvis Network

Validators have to listen to the API, and maintain a copy of each trades, price mouvement, balance history, of each traders and LP in the margin protocol. You will need to run a software on a server. You will need to stake JRT too,

Question 33: what are the ways that #JRT generates profits/revenue to maintain your project and what is its revenue model ? How can it make benefit win-win to both invester and your project ?

Mr. Pascal Tallarida — CEO of the Jarvis Network

0.002% commission is collected on every trade of the Margin protocol, and 0,2% is collected on every trade in the Synthetic protocol.

Half of the fees go to the LP (we are the LP for now) and the other half to token holders (investors)

Today, we have 2 traders who have generated $3M since 2 months, in a closed beta, and with only a maximum volume of 10k usd per trade.

they use to trade with way higher volume. Few hundreds of active traders will suffice to pay all our salaries, and start making profit.

If we compare to the volume that Synthetix is doing (1 bn since one year) we know that we can generate a lot of value.

Question 34: What were the major difficulties that you faced while starting this project ? And what was your motivation to continue ?

Mr. Pascal Tallarida — CEO of the Jarvis Network

technology, it is very challenging. We had to wait almost 2 years before to really start coding because the tech was not ready. The tech is stlil not ready to do everything we want to do so it is still a work in progress

Question 35: As a community manager at Jarvis, what have you done to appeal to the community and want to make a long term investment in your project?

Mr. Vsevolod Potorocha- Community Manager of Jarvis Network

In terms of community, we believe that transparency is the key, and we build our connections with the community around that. Therefore we share everything, even the negative events that appear during development.

So you can always check and see what is going on within the project and decide for yourself if you want to invest or not. (We publish weekly newsletters)

Question 36: How do you rate the speed of Ethereum? Is there any way for Jarvis to fix the transaction speed issue?

Mr. Pascal Tallarida — CEO of the Jarvis Network

yes, we will probably be using zk rollups inside the wallet to ave instant and “free” transaction between jarvis users, and the sytnehtic protocol could run on the top of it.

Question 37: JRT value is increasing truly. However, do you have additional plans like token burning and buyback programme so as to increase its intrinsic monetary value the more?

Mr. Pascal Tallarida — CEO of the Jarvis Network

yes for now the performance of JRT is quite good, and yet we still have not launched any product officially
